Ideal christmas presents

I love these occupational mugs at Designers Anonymous, they would make great christmas presents.

The Artist
The Illustrator
The Secretary
The Student

Talking of Christmas presents I just ordered myself this Airside calendar which displays their illustrations from the past 12 months. I think it's great how they've got a page for each week so every Monday there is a new inspiration for the week, it would brighten up anyones desk.

School Logo Design

We were asked at college to create a school logo for Seaton Sluice First School. The school had already asked the pupils to draw what they think the badge should be like and then voted on which they thought was the best. The winning design was a rosette, we were then asked to spend one day on taking the rosette idea and making it more professional. There was no limit on the colour choices except that it had to be used on the existing purple jumper, white polo shirt and possible to print in black and white. My final designs are shown below in three different colour ways, orange, green and white.

4mations

Finally finished our 4mations project where we had to design a new logo, website, interactive banner and sting animations for a new channel 4 animation channel (4mations). I decided to create a paper cut out effect for my logo, shown below and I am very happy with the way it turned out.

The website design could still have a little work done to it, I am not fully convinced on the blue background yet.

Letterpress Promotional Pack

Glasgow Press have worked with graphic designer Kerr Vernon to produce a promotional pack of music-themed cards which showcase the letterpress technique. The cards come in a cassette sized cardboard box titled Impressive Print, with each card relating to a specific track by a specific artist. These are beautifully made and designed and a great idea for a promotional giveaway.

Jerod Gibson

37 Posters is a project by Jerod Gibson where he started a series of posters with the silhouette of an image from a move or television show and filled it with quotes. I really like the simple approach and think it creates something modern and effective. You can see more of the designs in the series here.
